Did you find out what this was about. Is it hacking up a hairball or is this a cough. I think my cat was doing this but it stopped after I used hairball treatment. Well several months later he seemed to be OFF, just not his self. The change was sporadic. Went to several vet(S). He just died from seizures and ER Vet not doing anything to stop them. They didn’t offer any medication. He went into a coma and didn’t recover.

Would this help correct post-TPLO "pivot-shift" phenomenon?

If your cat is doing this just take them to the vet. It may not be asthma. My cat was doing this EXACT same thing. Only to take them to the vet and find out it wasn't asthma. Was given AntiBiotics called, "Azithromycin for oral suspension USP 200mg per 5ml"... After a few doses my cat stopped doing this. Hope this helps some of yall... Also this could be caused by "allergens" such as pollen. Everyone should have an air purifier in their home. It removes ALLERGENS that cause these episodes in cats. I would recommend a "HoneyWell Air Purifier". The one i got has a mode just for allergens. I'll link one even though it's not the same exact model mines a little older. Your cat doing this could just be a house filled with allergens in the air. My cat has been coughing like this, he's 5 years old, he hasn't coughed before. Now from time to time he coughs and gets better quickly, but I still get scared. I took him to the vet and the doctor said everything is fine with his lung. I don't know what it is, I think it could be food allergy or allergy to dust, mold, smoke. I'm investigating and praying 🙏

Shit I owned cats my whole life and I know they huck like hairballs and it kinda looks like caughing as a precourser to a hair ball but honestly I always though cats dogs and pet animals only sneez and huck if they need but a plain cought this is news too me great to know honestly I'm surprised I did not learn this prior like I said I always though almost all animals only sneezed and hacked up.

Thanks for this video. My cat does this almost for 10 years every now and them. At first i thought he has asthma, but he doesnt. He has no heartworms too. He shakes his head much while coughing so that i have to put something soft under his head so he wont hit his head on the ground.

my cat is coughing like this but sometimes it’s worst, my mom won’t take him to a vet because we don’t have insurance and it’s too expensive to get him treated. im angry at my mom because she won’t take him to the doctors, or vet. My cat only did that when he took his zinc tablets that vet prescribed. Not aure is he allergic to zinc tablet or not. So stop giving him
